Our Physiotherapy Team
Dominic Knight
Principal Physiotherapist
After moving to Albany in 2015 I instantly found a place I knew I would settle into well. A great community with exceptional access to a wide range of natural beauties from beaches to mountain ranges, Albany and the Great Southern has it all. I am proud to now open West Cape Physio and bring my passion of physiotherapy to the Albany and wider Great Southern community.
My studies include a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Notre Dame. I have since gone on to complete a Post Graduate certificate in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at LaTrobe University in Melbourne. This has equipped me excellently to assist patients in accurately diagnosing, managing and returning them to the activities they enjoy.
When I am not in the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my young family, getting outdoors, whether that be surfing, mountain bike riding, playing golf or enjoying our beautiful coastline.

I have been lucky enough to call Albany home for the last two years after moving here with my wife Lesley-Ann & daughter Hannah-Grace all the way from beautiful Cape Town in South Africa. I am an avid cricketer and I love running and all things fitness. In my spare time I love going to the beach with my family & spending time in the outdoors.
I completed my Bachelors degree in Physiotherapy at the University of the Western Cape, I have had the privilege of working with clients of diverse backgrounds and working with numerous sporting teams which has exposed me to various musculoskeletal conditions, neurological disorders, post operative rehabilitation and sports injuries.
I have over a decade of experience working in various clinical settings. My unwavering passion to understand my clients story, build relationships & help individuals regain mobility, confidence and lead healthier lives has been the cornerstone of my career.

Physiotherapist
I completed a dual degree at La Trobe University and graduated with a Master’s in Physiotherapy Practice in 2015. From here I have experience in a diverse range of areas, from occupational rehab to acute hospital settings and sports to aged care.
Starting in Clinical Private Practice, I was part of the Physiotherapy team for the Nationals tour of Melbourne Rebels Victorian Rugby 7s and a State League 1 Soccer team. I then completed rural outreach work as part of a Community Health setting which cemented my love for rural and remote work.
Throughout my University and physiotherapy journey I have been instructing pilates, which has given me a strong understanding of anatomy and biomechanics, and been instrumental in the management of patients. Sophie is passionate about assisting patients to learn how to manage themselves for the best outcome long term, not just providing a short term fix.

I’m excited to be a part of the West Cape Physio Team. I love all things health and fitness, previously working in pharmacy for 12 years as well as the fitness industry part time for the last 10 years, where I have loved helping people grow in strength and confidence and incorporate exercise into their lives.
I have lived in Albany most of my life and love the lifestyle that we have, even more so now that I have two adventurous and busy little boys. I love playing hockey, catching up with friends, whether it be walking the boardwalk or enjoying a glass of wine. During summer we spend many days at one of our amazing beaches, or taking the boys camping with friends.

I’m excited to be a part of the West Cape Physio Team. I have many years of experience in office administration through Agriculture & Insurance.
I have lived most my life in the Great Southern. I’m a mother of 3 active boys and married to an amazing Cattle Farmer. My interests are Netball, AFL and anything outdoors. You’ll find me most weekends watching my children’s sporting antics or at home on the farm.
I’m excited to meet you all with a friendly face and make you feel welcome as you walk through our door.
